Administrative / Biographical History
John Griffiths (c. 1849-1922) was born in Ynysmeudwy and worked as a mining surveyor, and as a road surveyor for Glamorgan County Council. He married Sarah in c. 1870 and they had eight children, one of whom was R. Stanley Griffiths, born in 1898, who also worked as a road surveyor. They owned properties at Ynysmeudwy to the north-east of Bethesda Chapel.
