This school, also known as Cowley St John Upper School, Cowley St John Secondary School and Cowley St John Comprehensive School, was formed in 1963 by the merger of the boys and girls schools. In 1972 it moved to a new site on the Donnington allotments off Cricket Road. In 1984 due to falling attendances it merged with St Edmund Campion Roman Catholic School and moved to a new site in Iffley Turn. The school later was renamed St Augustine of Canterbury RC/CE Upper School (please see S145/1 for records of this school).
The material was deposited as part of Acc 3771 in February 1994, as part of Acc 4784 in November 2000, Acc 5186 in August 2003 and Acc 6558 in April 2017. Recatalogued by Alison Smith in October 2008 with additions in August 2015 and July 2019 and May 2023.
