Cardinal Newman Roman Catholic Middle School opened in 1990 on a site off Cricket Road, Cowley. It was formed by the merger of the John Bosco Roman Catholic Middle School (please see S75/10 for records of this school) and St Gregory's Roman Catholic Middle School. After the closure of the middle schools in 2003 the school merged with St Augustine of Canterbury RC/CE Upper School (please see S76/7 for records of this school) to form St Gregory the Great School.
