Papers of Professor Blair-Bell in his capacity as director, and files of the secretary, Edward Carey, of the Liverpool Medical Research Organisation, relating to the administration and early history of the Liverpool Medical Research Organisation and findings into the effects of lead as a treatment for cancer, including administrative papers, staffing, equipment, subscriptions, finances, promotion of the research work, accommodation, social events, accounts, donations, fees, fundraising, supply of lead colloid, papers covering the work carried out by the various departments at Liverpool University relating to cancer, discussions on disagreements over Blair-Bell's position within the organisation, his salary, agreements made with past organisation members, Rex Cohen and Arthur Smith, and the future of the organisation and its funding, including Blair-Bell's withdrawal from active Directorship of the organisation, Blair-Bell's search for statistical information relating to lead-poisoning, cancer incidence and mortality (February 1929) and contributions and attendance at the memorial service held in memory of Rex Cohen, Honorary Treasurer of the organisation (1928).
