The Birmingham Gay Liberation Front was formed in 1971 from a group of the younger members of the Campaign for Homosexual Equality who had a more radical approach to gay rights. Gladrag was a magazine published from 1974 to 1977, replacing the Birmingham Gay Liberation Front Newsletter (1971-1974). Gladrag published articles on the experiences of gay and lesbian people involved in the Gay Liberation Front, including gay Trade Unionists.
