Scope and Content

Papers mainly relating to the work of the Unemployment Assistance Board (Cardiff) Sports & Social Club, 1935-1945. The papers include agenda and minutes of meetings of various of the club's committees, personal and circular correspondence, annual reports and financial accounts, and programmes of social and athletic events; items relating to the first and second eisteddfodau of the Unemployment Assistance Board (Wales) held at Cardiff in 1938 and 1939; and a small number of papers concerning the Cardiff Channel Dry Docks & Pontoon Co.
