Michael Clapham was the treasurer of the Barnsley West and Penistone Constituency Labour Party after 1983. He was elected as MP for Barnsley West and Penistone at the (10 April) 1992 General Election following the retirement of Allen McKay. He held this seat until he stood down at the 2010 General Election.
These records include the Barnsley West and Penistone Constituency Labour Party membership and minute book (1978-1986) as well as financial records and bank statements of the Party (1997-1999). Also included are bank statements and other financial records of the Penistone and Stockbridge Constituency Labour Party (1992-2006).
