Three files of family correspondence comprising approximately 1,350 letters, including copy replies; written mainly by Ben Davies and his wife. Almost all the correspondence is concerned with personal and domestic matters; but there are numerous references to Christian Science and to spiritualism and four references to experimenting with Marconi's telegraph invention at Lavernock near Cardiff, 1897. There are also letters from Gwen Davies to her parents from Hungary, 1922, Italy, 1925, and Switzerland, 1929 and letters written by a relative working in China, 1913.
