Includes transcript of 'A Bibliography of the Scottish Liturgy by Eliza H. Dowden and Frances C. [Ecles]. Privately printed, 1915. Forwarded to Dean Christie in 1915 by Bishop Robberds'. Contains cuttings mainly from the Aberdeen Press and Journal, the Scottish Chronicle and Scottish Guardian, relating to Scottish Episcopal liturgy, in particular to reports by the consultative Council on Church Legislation, 1892-1925 and includes cuttings relating to 18th century Scottish literary figures: Allan Ramsey, William Hamilton of Bangour, George MacDonald, L.L.D., Robert Burns, Anthony Trollope, Walter C. Smith and Professor [?] Minto, 1923-1925.

Dean Christie was born in 1858, the son of the Reverend William Christie, the incumbent of Fochabers and Dean of Moray. He was educated at Aberdeen University and Edinburgh Theological College, being ordained in 1881. Following curacies at Leith, and Hornsey, London, he became the incumbent of Stonehaven in 1890, where he remained until his death in 1931. He was examining chaplain to the Bishop of Brechin 1904-1916, and was synod clerk 1909-1917. In 1917 he became Dean of Brechin.
