Scope and Content

Diary of events and activities connected with the church of Ripon from 1712 to 1750. The greater part of the volume is taken up with accounts: domestic expenses, payments and receipts in connection with the repair and maintenance of the Collegiate Church, the Deanery, the "House of Correction", and the Grammar School; pew rents; payments to bell-ringers; rents of property belonging to the church; moneys disbursed in connection with Magdalen's Hospital (of which the Dean was Master), and notes of any changes among the inmates of the Hospital; burial fees, etc.
