The text is written mainly by Dean Dering, with additions by Dean Waddilove. Bound in rough calf, with some blind tooling. "Statutes and charters" is written in ink on the upper front cover. The following notes are inserted: (1) "Number of Papists in Ripon Parish, 1780"; (2) a letter from Thomas Burwell to "Mr Gilbert" on the burial of Papists, Aug.16.63
