Scope and Content

'Kapability', promotional 16mm film, colour and sound which includes scenes of Scotland and Dundee as well as of factory scenes where Thomas C Keay engineered machinery is being used. 'Birth of a new Sound' charts the story of Radio Tay coming to the airwaves.

Custodial History

'Kapability' found in 1979 by Danny Burke when TH Keay's offices were being cleared ready for Tayside Broadcasting aka Radio Tay to move into the property. Kept by Burke until his death when his son gave the film, with others, to Mr Johnston, whose interests include filmmaking.
