Diary "How I spend my leisure time". Gives an interesting picture of social life in Dundee, and local events, with some reference to his work. Topics include family visits, visits to fairs, circus, and other amusements, Dundee shipping and dock activities, newspapers and journals read by the diarist, local volunteer regiments, church going, injuries and illnesses, wages and hours of work, comment on American Civil War.
