Scope and Content

Handwritten and typed letters between M. Philips Price and A.P. Wadsworth, discussing the former's return to Teheran - followed by Baghdad, Damascus, and Ankara - as a special correspondent for the Guardian, after a special session of Parliament that Philips Price suggests was instigated by Winston [Churchill].

Having called Philips Price 'adventurous' in previous exchanges, Wadsworth tells his correspondent, while discussing the tumultuous political climate in Iran, 'I do hope you do not run into a little war.'

Dated the House of Commons, London; the Guardian offices in Manchester; Taynton, Gloucester; Baghdad.
