Included is one letter to Wadsworth from Philips Price's wife, Lisa, informing Wadsworth that Philips Price is traveling in America and unable to write a book review. Philips Price writes to Wadsworth about his extended tour of the United States, with a focus on industry and the environment, as a member of the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee.
There is also a letter from Wadsworth to Alistair Cooke, New York-based American correspondent for the Guardian, introducing Philips Price, who later complains to Wadsworth that Cooke is never available.
