Reminiscences of Thomas Reay of Liverpool, entitled Rambling Recollections of Men and Manners, and dedicated and presented to Joseph Mayer. The reminiscences are divided into two parts.
- Folios 1-14: Reay's reminiscences of his friend Benjamin Buxton, prefaced by a letter from Reay to Mayer, dated 18 October 1832, in which he states: 'More by way of passtime [sic] than to shew any excellence in composition, more to please you than the least desire to satisfy a single vanity, I now send you... the first of my personal sketches - which I have written... in a great hurry.'
- Folios 16-31: Reay's reminiscences of 'Scholasticus', prefaced by a second letter from Reay to Mayer, dated 7 July 1833, on folio 15v.
