Scope and Content

Pocket-sized catalogue of incunables in the Bibliotheca Spenceriana. Entitled Catalogus Cod. Saec. XV. Impres. Qui in Bibliotheca Spenceriana Adservantur on the spine. The catalogue is divided into five sections:

  • 1. Libri Sacri & Theologici;
  • 2. Catalogus Scriptorum Antiquorum... Saeculo XV;
  • 3. Libri Lexicographici et Grammatici;
  • 4. Libri Miscellanei;
  • 5. Libri In Anglia Impressi.
Within each section works are listed alphabetically by author (by printer in the last section). For each work the catalogue records the date and place of printing, the title where applicable, and its size. First editions of classical authors are noted.
