Entitled A Catalogue of the Library of the Right Honourable, Lord Viscount Spencer. at Althorp. 1761 (title page inscription). Books are listed according to size (folios, quartos, octavos), and within each size they are divided into three sections: 'Libri Graeci & Latini', 'English books' and 'Livres Franc. Ital. &c.' (French and Italian quartos are separately listed). Within each section works are listed alphabetically by author, and the catalogue records the shelf-mark, short title, number of volumes, date and place of publication. Books range from the 15th to the 18th centuries.
