Scope and Content

There are sixty-three letters from William Holman Hunt to his second wife Edith, n%#233;e Waugh, 1876-1899 (/2-64). /5-33 were written while Hunt was in Jerusalem and his wife was staying in Jaffa in 1877; they are contained in a manilla envelope marked Holman's Daily Letters to me from Jerusalem to Convent Jaffa, May 8 to June 7, 1877. In addition, there is a single letter to his mother, 1881 (/1); two letters to his son Hilary, 1884 and 1890 (/65-66); and single letters to his sister Elizabeth and an unnamed aunt, 1854 and 1873 (/67-68).
