This class contains files and bundles of material, largely compiled by Nicholson himself, which relate to honours he received, including various honorary degrees, the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry, his O.B.E. and the Freedom of the Borough of Copeland. Also included here is material relating to the bust of Nicholson by Joan Palmer which was unveiled in Millom Library in 1984, as well as the portrait by Michael Browne which was commissioned by the Poetry Society.
In content these files are similar to the literary subject files kept by Nicholson. They contain correspondence, cuttings, some photographs, manuscript and typescript notes, programmes and invitations.
All file or bundle titles given are Nicholson's own.
