This class consists of a series of appointment diaries, some pocket sized and some larger, and not all used specifically for noting appointments by Nicholson. The entries in /1 consist solely of the names of wild flowers and plants; /2 is an appointments diary with a section at the front listing various locations of a literary interest, along with museums, galleries, abbeys and stately homes; /6-16 are straightforward diaries containing very brief notes of appointments; and /3-5 contain no appointments but consist of notes on Nicholson's income from published literary work, copyright permissions, readings, and radio and television appearances. /1 and /3-6 are all small pocket diaries; the rest are larger, and /7-9 and /11-16 are all medium sized hardback volumes with rather lurid floral designs on the covers. /10 is a softback diary. Entries are in Nicholson's hand. /3 is inscribed to Nicholson from Sadie.
