Scope and Content

Letter books containing the copy correspondence of the principal of Owens College, and the vice-chancellor of Manchester University. Both offices were held in succession by Sir Alfred Hopkinson. VCA/5/7 contains some correspondence of Frederick Weiss who became vice-chancellor in 1913.
