Scope and Content

Mainly talks to be delivered to the W.I.S. [Scottish Women's Institute?], including: 

  • Maps of Europe, seemingly taken from a bound atlas, four folded pages (some tears at fore-edges)
  • One photographic postcard, cut in half “Wehrli verlag, Kilchberg” stamped Rhonegletscher Furka-Belvedere
  • One page of journal dated August 29th, discussing travelling by yacht en route to S… and how enjoyable the journey is. Ink.
  • One page of journal dated Saturday 30th, Vlora, Albania. Discusses a trip in the direction of Santi Quaranta, looking for Greek and Phoenician monuments, which they did not find (some folded edges). Ink.
  • One typescript on Florence Nightingale (with handwritten summary on the front). 17 pages.
  • One typescript on “A month in Venice this autumn”, which also included the Dalmatian Coast. 30 pages.
  • One photo journal of “Spain, April and May 1927”, includes accounts of Elsie and Kathleen Dillon’s journeys alongside photographs of the local areas and people. 37 pages of typescript, 29 pages of photographs.
