Scope and Content

Mainly regarding 'the Stanley-Clarke controversy' when Lord Rowallan, as the result of an adverse report by Brigadier Stanley-Clarke in July 1940, was relieved of his command of the 6th Royal Scots Fusiliers. Trenchard was sympathetic towards Lord Rowallan and was obviously attempting to help him.
