Norman was a shipping agent in Genoa during the First World War, and Cyril was acting vice-consul in Genoa before being promoted to the Brisish Consulate in Loanda, Angola, where he served during the 1950s. Cyril Leaver lived for a while in Brooklands, Swansea.
