This small collection contains a handwritten catalogue of the books, pamphlets and other manuscripts held in the library of A.E. Trout.

Administrative / Biographical History

Archibald Ernest Trout was born in 1880 and died, aged 82, in 1962. He married Florence Helen Dixon in 1901 and was described as an Account Collector in the 1911 census. He wrote several articles and short books as well as compiled notes on various subjects including Hull Methodism, inns and taverns of Hull and poor relief in Hull.
