Administrative / Biographical History
Richard Rees lived at Elm Cottage, Llansamlet, was a member of Bethel Chapel, Llansamlet, and worked from 1881 at the Birchgrove Steel Company Ltd. He was a member of the Llansamlet School Board, and later stood as an independent candidate for the Swansea Borough elections of 1918, and chaired the Llansamlet War Memorial Fund Committee which constructed a War Memorial in 1922.
