The Rotary Club of Swansea was established in 1919 with the aim to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. Details of the club's history can be found in Growth of a Notion volumes I and II, written by Bill Mainwaring Hughes, president of the club for the year 1950/51.
