Rhiwbach Slate quarries was one of the smallest of the Ffestiniog workings in the county of Merionethshire.
The manager and part-proprietor of the Rhiwbach Quarries for the period 1890-1920 was Mr H. Humphreys. He was a keen and competent employer, always ready to adopt new schemes, and bent upon keeping fully abreast of the latest inventions designed to further slate-production.
