Book of eleven English songs by various poets, title page missing, set to music [by William Shield?], the first in the collection being 'Ye balmy Breezes gently blow', words by Mr Rannie, engraved by Skarratt. 31 numbered pp; manuscript annotation on back of last sheet 'Wm [William] Shield'. Some manuscript annotations;

'Away with Melancholy', a duet by M Mozart (Thomas Preston);

Six Welch Airs adapted to English Words [words by Mrs Opie, music by Mr Biggs] (Rt Birchall [1796?]);

A Second Sett of Welch Airs with English Words written to them by Mrs Opie, harmonised … by Mr Biggs (Rt Birchall [1800]);

The celebrated Castanet Song from the grand serio-comic romance of the Caravan composed by W Reeve … arranged as a Rondo by D Steibelt (J Dale [c.1803]);

Le Melange 'Waltz a la Bugle' composed and arranged as a rondo by T Haigh (L Lavenu);

'The Quick Step of the Royal Westminster Volunteers … composed for as dedicated to Lt Col Birch and the rest of the officers and brother soldiers of the corps by T Essex (printed for T Essex by Longman & Broderip [1798]). Stamped 'TE';
