Administrative / Biographical History
Originally named Manchester and District Sports Club for the Disabled and changed to Manchester Disabled Athletes (MDA) c1978, the club was established with the objective 'to relieve physically handicapped persons by providing them with facilities for sport with the object of improving their conditions in life and where possible their physical condition'.
Kevin Hyett was a director of the Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP) in the period 1992-2004, and also company secretary from August 1993 to January 1994.
