Administrative / Biographical History
The Standing Conference of Women's Organisation is an umbrella organisation with a membership of women's groups from across the UK. It was established in 1942 in response to the challenges faced by women during the Second World War. It undertakes work which includes the provision and dissemination of information, lobbying and overall support for its member organisations.
