Administrative / Biographical History

These personal papers of Victor Webb were kept with the SASU and SAGS papers (UGC 222/1 and UGC/2 respectively) and reflect his long term association with allotments in his home city of Edinburgh. Victor acted as the auditor of the Federation of Edinburgh and District Allotments and Garden Associations (FEDAGA), and worked in an advisory capacity with the Edinburgh Allotment Holders' Association (EAHA) and the St. Leonard's Allotments Association. The papers primarily document the action undertaken to keep allotments and the disputes with Edinburgh Corporation regarding evictions, but also included are a number of Victor's personal items including a couple of notebooks detailing his annual planting schemes.
