Bruce Pattison (1908-1996) was a lecturer in English, University College,London, 1936-1948, then Professor of Education, University of LondonInstitute of Education, 1948-1976 and Emeritus. During World War Two heworked for the Board of Trade, 1941-1943 and the Ministry of Supply, 1943-1945.
