Includes two cuttings concerning the sale of an aquatint of Cassiobury, Hertfordshire (seat of the Earl of Essex) by R. Havell & Son, after J.M.W. Turner; and one cutting concerning an anecdote relating to the painting entitled 'Cat's-Paw', by Sir Edwin Landseer.

Also includes two cuttings concerning the death of the seventh Earl of Essex in 1916
