In three volumes, lettered Portraits and Letters of English Bishops. The contents consist of letters, notes, signed documents, cut-away signatures, etc. The volumes contain the following items:
- Volume I, [Eng MS 841], 1-147;
- Volume II, [Eng MS 842], 148-262;
- Volume III, [Eng MS 843], 263-381.
Inserted are numerous engravings and other illustrations, portraits and caricatures. Numbers 1-322 are autographs of Archbishops and Bishops of the British Isles and Dominions; most of the others are autographs of Deans.
