The magazines contain articles on archaeological topics and humerous features by department staff and students. The magazine was started in 1968 "as an attempt by the Student Society to encourage the interest of other students, and to let them voice their own opinions on the subject". The magazine was resurrected in 1974 with a new title of "Barrow"
