The South bedroom is situated on the top floor of the house, it is the second room on the right at the top of the staircase. It was previously Emery Walker's bedroom; it is said that he chose it because of the superior views of the river. It became the bedroom of his daughter Dorothy after his death. When Dorothy died in 1963, Elizabeth de Haas rented the whole of the top floor of the house, which included the South Bedroom, to tenants.
