Various people and organisations have been tenants of Spurn under the ownership of YNT. The names documented on the records have been used, but may relate to subsequent organisations, such as the formation of the National Environment Research Council in 1965 which brought together environment research organisations, including the Nature Conservancy Council. In 1981 the British Transport Docks Board was renamed the Association of British Ports.
