Correspondence relating to the appointment of the Principal of Ruskin College, Oxford.

Scope and Content

Correspondents include Philip Noel-Baker, G D H Cole, R H Crossman, Hugh Dalton, Hugh Gallacher, A D (Lord) Lindsay, Henry Smith, R H Tawney, G E (Lord) Wigg, George Woodcock. There does not appear to be a direct relation between this item and the National Council of Labour Colleges, other than the fact that Ruskin College shares the goal of working class education with the NCLC, and that a strike at the College in 1906 led to the formation of the Central Labour College.
