Edwin Morgan was asked to be a judge for a number of poetry competitions and awards. This series includes papers relating to the following: 'New Poets Award' (1970-1972); 'The National Poetry Competition' organised by the Poetry Society in association with BBC Radio 3 (1981-1982 & 1988-1989); 'Pushkin Prizes' (1989-2002); 'Forth Bridge Centenary Poetry Competition' (1990); 'Poetry Book Society Translation Choice' (1992-1996); 'British Comparative Literature Association Translation Competition' (1993-1996); 'Hamlyn: Awards for Poetry' (1997); 'Scottish Arts Council Creative Scotland Awards' (2000); and 'Keith Wright Literary Prize, University of Strathclyde (2003).
