Administrative / Biographical History
The first branch of the MU in Wales was formed in Llandrindod Wells, in 1884, and there are now 55 branches with 1440 members. The MU in Swansea and Brecon:Promote the development of prayer and spiritual growth through quiet hours, monthly Eucharist and retreats ; Provide start up packs for young people leaving care for their own homes. ; Run a play area in Swansea Prison. ; Offer holidays to families under stress.; Support families at refuge centres. ; Knit clothes for premature babies; Raise funds for overseas projects
