He pays a certain Edward Williams £2.8.3. for binding his books, and £1.10.6. for the [Chester] Chronicle. On 23 July he was "at Home with the Hay"; on 2 September, he made a journey to Chester with the cheese (his own?) for which he was paid £42.18.0.
