Administrative / Biographical History

David Rees was an antiquarian, researcher and writer on his native Port Talbot. A prolific member of the Port Talbot Historical Society, he was also a teacher in Traethmelyn and Tywyn primary schools. A large proportion of this collection was once the property of A. Leslie Evans and was bequeathed to David Rees on the event of his death in 1996.
