War Manuscripts, [1939-1946]; records relating to Goodman’s books ‘Forms of Public Control and Ownership’, [1939-1951], The Search for Significance in Industrial Society/A Study of Liberty and Revolution, [1954-1976], and The Impact of Size, [1969-1973]; miscellaneous academic writings and notes, c 1931-[1990]; records relating to The Acton Society Trust, the Two Tier Economy, the Non-Conforming Radicals; Italian material, and further uncatalogued books and papers.

Records are open to the public, subject to the overriding provisions of relevant legislation, including data protection laws. 24 hours' notice is required to access photographic material.

Acquisition Information

The records were transferred to the Borthwick Institute in the 1990s.
