Series documenting Webb's extensive personal correspondence with a wide range of business associates, literary contacts, family and other acquaintances. Files mainly contain letters, but may also include printed ephemera and photographs. Later correspondence frequently contains copies of Webb's replies. Arranged alphabetically by correspondent.
Correspondence was sorted and listed prior to sale at Sotheby's into 'Names', 'Authors, illustrators and writers' and 'Miscellaneous'. This order has been retained, with further, 'loose' correspondence amalgamated into existing series.
