Papers of W.J. Davies of 155 Chemical Road, Morriston, who was one of the founders of the Workers' Educational Association in Swansea and involved generally in the provision of adult education in the area. The papers relate to his work in this sphere. W. J. Davies served on Swansea Borough Council 1918-1947, was chairman of its Education Committee 1927-1930 and 1933-1947, and was Mayor in 1934-1935.
