Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The Amalgamated Society of Woodworkers formed from several small trade associations, with there being 29 members at the opening of the branch in 1863. The Hull branch met at Terry Street in Hull with the aim of being a self-help society. It later amalgamated with the Union of Construction, Allied Trades and Technicians.
