Administrative / Biographical History
Garnswllt is a hamlet in the north western corner of Mawr community, between Ammanford and Pontarddulais. Garnswllt Welfare Association was established for the benefit of local miners. Later on its efforts were devoted to building a village hall, in which it worked closely with Mawr parish council. The village hall recently (2011) celebrated its 50th anniversary.
