Financial records

This series consists of an extensive collection of receipts and accounts relating to management, production and day-to-day running expenses of the Ballets Russes. A large proportion the series is made up of receipts for laundry, cloth, props etc., often providing invaluable clues about the scenery, props and costumes for various productions. Other receipts are for travel costs, rehearsal expenses, and restaurant and hotel bills. There are also box office returns for 1912 to 1929, the records of payments to dancers from 1909 - 1929, and a number of cheque books and bank records.

The series has been divided into five sub-series: Box office returns, Payments to dancers, Bank records, Company bills/receipts, and Personal bills/receipts.
